Subnautica below zero nitrox10/23/2023 ![]() ![]() in coop breaks all of that.Īnd more important another person in the game, it can be more of a nuisance than a help. its almost the 60, 70% of the game on my opinion. ![]() they need to remade all the game.Īnd the most important the inmersion. if you put a coop in the game, firts of all there is no mechanics in the game to do a coop actually. The first game nailed it with the "undersea Robinson Crusoe". But probably a journey for another year at least. Nitrox team already stated that they will also do a BZ version if they ever get the current SN version stable. Less than would ruin the game, but noticeable. But expect quite a bit glitches and desync. Subnautica got the very good Nitrox mod, easy to handle and even can be run in server only mode on a dedicated server (i did it via SteamCMD and Windows Server 2019), allowing multiplayer. Nevertheless, having a co-op or even multiplayer is fun for a few sessions regarding basebuilding and collecting stuff together. It breaks the immersion, the way you progress (expecially story) and ruins the exploration part completely as far as the game is designed. We really hope that all of these changes make your Subnautica experience even better than ever! And as some eagle-eyed fans might have spotted, we might have some more exciting news for you in the new year.Originally posted by ChroniX:Unfortunately co-op brings this game (as subnautica too) to a completely different level. ![]() You should do this before you open your save file to play. Just head to ‘Properties,’ then ‘Betas,’ and choose ‘legacy’ from the drop down. If you’re not quite ready to move to the new update, because you’re using mods on your save file or otherwise, you can also roll back to the ‘legacy’ beta on Steam to continue playing. Bringing over PDA pause, the ability to disable light flashes, and item bars from Below ZeroĪs for bug fixes, we’ve closed out over 800 in total, including multiple issues related to base building (server clipping, deconstructing buildings whilst inside them), vehicle navigation and piloting.Adding an ‘Unstuck’ button to the menu to help get you out of some sticky situations.Adding the TextMeshPro plugin, to improve UI readability and visual quality. On top of these changes, we’ve also refactored and optimized our save system, which means it’s now even faster and more reliable to save and retrieve your save. Now you can make your bases even more epic than before! We’ve also added some base pieces to Subnautica that were previously only available in Below Zero, specifically the Large Room, Glass Dome, and surface hatches. By doing this, we’ve been able to implement several quality of life features, fix many outstanding bugs, and introduce some performance improvements that were already available in Below Zero. Updated June 5, 2023, by Jack Webb: Subnautica can be difficult if you are playing alone. As this is a mod for the PC version of the game, this will not work on the console version of Subnautica. Its important to note that this mod is not compatible with Subnautica: Below Zero. Our goal was always to bring both Subnautica and Below Zero onto unified versions of Unity, and with today’s update, that goal has been achieved. This includes installing and setting up the multiplayer mod first. As you might have seen in some of our previous blog posts, a lot of time has been spent addressing a ton of tech debt and bringing across some improved code from Below Zero. This update has been a labor of love for the entire Subnautica team. We’re delighted to bring you the long-awaited 2.0 update to Subnautica across all platforms.
